Exceptional Student Services encompasses the use of specially designed instruction individualized to the needs of the student. While Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams have the responsibility of providing services within the general education setting, as determined appropriate, a continuum of services and supports are available to meet unique and individual needs of all eligible students.

Students with disabilities are those children evaluated as having:

  • Autism (AUT)
  • Emotional Disability (ED)
  • Hearing Impairment (HI)
  • Other Health Impairments (OHI)
  • Specific Learning Disability (SLD)
  • Mild/Moderate Mental Retardation (MIMR/MOMR)
  • Severe Mental Retardation (SMR)
  • Multiple Disabilities (MD)
  • Multiple Disabilities with Severe Sensory Impairment (MDSSI)
  • Orthopedic Impairment (OI)
  • Preschool Moderate Delay (PMD)
  • Preschool Severe Delay (PSD)
